On 7 February this year, at the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), were presented the certificates of completion of the training course in intellectual property, held during the months of September – December 2016.
Following the course, 10 persons have obtained the qualification of “Counselor in Intellectual Property”, among which are both representatives of AGEPI, Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer and specialists in the field of law.
AGEPI Director General, Octavian Apostol, congratulated the graduates with the completion of the course, wishing them success in the counseling and promotion of intellectual property objects.
The aim of the course was to train counselors in the field of protection, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
During the course, AGEPI specialists familiarized the participants with the theoretical and practical aspects of the national and international normative and legislative framework in the field of protection of industrial property objects, namely trademarks, industrial designs, inventions, geographical indications, appellations of origin and traditional specialties guaranteed, plant varieties and protection of copyright and related rights.
Also, AGEPI specialists talked about the means of enforcement of intellectual property rights and economic aspects of intellectual property.
They also presented the databases and information resources of AGEPI in the field of trademarks, industrial designs, geographical indications as well as patents for invention and plant varieties.
