The Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) Viorel Iustin, and the coordinator of the project Jean Monnet Chair “European Union for Intellectual Property Rights”/EUPROIN, project implemented under the aegis of the European Union and the Association of Legal Culture Henri Capitant Moldova, Rodica Crudu signed, on 28 February this year, a cooperation agreement in the field of intellectual property.
By signing the Agreement the parties undertook to promote the importance and fundamental role of intellectual property for the economic, cultural and social development of the state, as well as personal development of each member of the society. Respectively, one of the basic objectives of cooperation between institutions is to create a climate for young people and representatives of the business environment, favorable to innovation, creativity and free competition, for the development of profitable businesses.
At the same time, the parties agreed to strengthen their efforts to highlight the advantages offered by the registration of intellectual property rights, organizing joint actions and facilitating access to information and services in the field of intellectual property.
The Director General of AGEPI welcomed the initiative of the Association of Legal Culture Henri Capitant Moldova to get involved in promoting the intellectual property system and assured the representatives of the project of the agency’s willingness to contribute to carrying out activities of public interest in its field of competence.
We should note that the project Jean Monnet Chair “European Union for Intellectual Property Rights”/EUPROIN is implemented within the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova under the aegis of the European Union and of the Association of Legal Culture Henri Capitant Moldova, co-funded by the Erasmus + EU Program. The main objective of the project is to promote knowledge and strengthen the understanding by the academic community of the Republic of Moldova, and also by the associative and business sector, of the importance of developing, protecting and exploiting the intellectual property for the sustainable economic development of the country and its integration in the European space.
