The awards presentation ceremony of the National Painting Contest for Pupils entitled “Nature through the Eyes of Children”, 2nd edition, organized by the Botanical Garden (Institute) of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, took place on 2 June this year. The ceremony took place at the Botanical Garden, within the framework of the event dedicated to the International Children’s Day and the International Environment Day.
During the award ceremony, the Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property Lilia Bolocan, offered a special prize from AGEPI for children, namely to Ana Anghel, pupil at the Theoretical Lyceum with Arts Profile “Mihail Berezovschi” in Chisinau, for the work “Harmony”.
The contest covered two sections: painting and applications. The contest was attended by pupils from 26 educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova, who presented approximately 260 original works, who come to bring imagination as a true source of inspiration, knowledge and cultivation of a positive attitude towards the nature that surrounds us. The organizers awarded the 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes on sections, special prizes and diplomas for participation.
The contest was conducted with the support of the Small Grants Programme (SGP) of the Global Environment Fund, within the framework of the project “Environmental Education in Public Awareness and Sensitization on the Protection of Biodiversity in the Republic of Moldova”.
