The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) invites mass media representatives to attend a press conference organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the national intellectual property system in the Republic of Moldova.
The event will take place on Thursday, September 7, 09:30, at the Palace of the Republic, 2nd floor, 16, Maria Cebotari Str.
The conference will be supported by Lilia Bolocan, Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, Giovanni Napolitano, Interim Director, SMEs and Entrepreneurship Support Division, World Intellectual Property Organization and Mihály Ficsor, International Expert in Copyright and Related Rights.
During the conference will be presented the results obtained by AGEPI during the 25 years of its activity. Also, details will be provided about the events to be organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the institution.
Thus, on this beautiful anniversary, AGEPI, in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization, organizes in the period 7-8 September the Regional Conference on Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights. The opening of the event will take place on September 7, 10:00 o’clock, at the Palace of the Republic. The conference will bring together representatives of international organizations and copyright experts from nearly 20 countries.
Also, AGEPI will organize a concert dedicated to the jubilee of 25 years since the foundation of AGEPI. The event will take place on September 7, 18:00 o’clock, on the pedestrian street Eugen Doga, in Chisinau. Those who wish to spend the evening in the entourage of local music will be able to enjoy songs in the performance of famous soloists from the Republic of Moldova.
Also on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the activity, on September 8, 16:00 o’clock, at the Palace of the Republic, an official ceremony will take place, which is expected to be attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Pavel Filip, the members of the Government, the invitees from the Parliament, diplomatic missions and the business environment, as well as institutions in the field of science, innovation and higher education from the republic. The event will also be attended by representatives of intellectual property offices from abroad. At the same time, the Gold Medal of the World Intellectual Property Organization for Creativity will be handed during the ceremony to a prominent personality of the national culture of the Republic of Moldova.
