Inventors from the Republic of Moldova participated in the International Salon of Research, Innovation and Inventiveness “PRO INVENT” in Romania

On March 19-22 this year, at the Exhibition Center “ExpoTransilvania”, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, was held the eleventh edition of the International Salon of Research, Innovation and Inventiveness “PRO INVENT”.

Salon “PRO INVENT” is a high-level scientific event, within which are presented inventions and scientific results of the researchers, materialized in original prototypes and products in various fields. Organizer of the event was Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in collaboration with Expo Transilvania JSC in Cluj-Napoca under the aegis of the Ministry of National Education, and partners - Academy of Technical Sciences of Romania – Cluj Branch, State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova, Romanian Inventors Forum, State Office for Inventions and Trademarks of Romania.

Concomitantly with the Salon “PRO INVENT” were held two other events: International Technical Fair (Twenty First Edition) and FORESTA, exhibition specialized in wood exploitation and working machinery, equipment and technologies.

In the event in question took part inventors of Romania, Poland and Moldova, who presented about 250 patents in various fields: industrial equipment, environment - pollution control, energy and sustainable development, agriculture and food industry, medicine, cosmetics, laboratory equipment, constructions and materials, chemical and textile industry, information technology and communications.

Visitors were able to interact with Romanian inventors and foreign delegations and see how intelligent systems created by them work.

Inventors from Moldova were present at this event with about 60 works of research institutions and universities: Institute of Genetics and Plant Physiology, Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of the ASM, Technical University of Moldova, State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “N. Testemitanu”, National Scientific-Practical Center of Emergency Medicine, National Center of Public Health, Research Institute of Mother and Child Health Care, etc. Inventions presented by Moldovan inventors enjoyed great interest from both visitors and the Jury, being appreciated with 13 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.

Grand Prix “PRO INVENT” was awarded to University BABES-BOLYAI of Cluj-Napoca.

In the Salon, AGEPI awarded three medals for works exhibited by the National Institute of Inventiveness of Iasi, National Institute of Research and Development for Potato and Sugar Beet (NIRDPSB), Brasov, National Institute of Research and Development for Machines and Installations for Agriculture and Food Industry (NIMI), Bucharest. AGEPI Cup was awarded to the representative of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

Materials on inventions presented at the Salon have been published in a bilingual catalog (English-Romanian).

International Salon of Research, Innovation and Inventiveness “PRO INVENT” in Cluj-Napoca has become an event of great importance for both inventors of Romania and those from other countries, as well as an effective form of knowledge, appreciation and stimulation of those who have distinguished themselves through creativity.
