Inventor’s and Rationalizer’s Day is annually marked on the last Saturday of June in the Republic of Moldova.
A festive meeting, organized by the Union of Inventors and Rationalizers of Moldova “Innovator” (UIR) and the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) was held on 28 June this year on this occasion. The host of the event was the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (NCTUM).
The event was attended by researchers, inventors and rationalizers from the academic and university institutions as well as enterprises of the Republic of Moldova.
Present at the solemn meeting, Mr. Andrei Popa, Deputy Director General of AGEPI, addressed to all inventors and rationalizers sincere congratulations, wishes for health, wishing them beautiful achievements in the research, innovation and rationalization activity. He expressed his hope that all the results recorded by Moldovan inventors and rationalizers will be successfully implemented in various areas of the Moldovan economy. In his speech, Mr. Popa assured all inventors and rationalizers of the AGEPI specialists’ support in the process of informing and consulting on the protection of inventions and other intellectual property objects both in the country and abroad.
On the occasion of the celebration, the most active inventors and rationalizers of the year, laureates of the current edition of the contests “Most Active Rationalizer” and “Most Active Young Rationalizer”, organized by UIR “Innovator” in common with AGEPI and the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova, were awarded diplomas and prizes.
Thus, the Honorific Title “Best Rationalizer of the Year of the Republic of Moldova” was conferred on Mrs. Valeriana Pantea - scientific researcher, University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”. The Honorific Title “Best Young Rationalizer of the Year of the Republic of Moldova” was conferred on Mr. Alexandr MIGHIC - dentist, doctoral candidate of “Arsenie Gutan” Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Implantology Chair of SUMP “Nicolae Testemitanu”.
Laureates of the above mentioned contests became: Gheorghe Ciobanu – doctor habilitate, professor of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”; Andrei Padure - lecturer, university professor, doctor habilitate in medicine, deputy director of the Center of Legal Medicine; Gheorghe Rojnoveanu - doctor habilitate in medical sciences, university professor, pro-rector for scientific activity of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”.
AGEPI also awarded diplomas to the most active inventors for the year 2018, which are: Valeriu Rudic - academician, doctor habilitate, university professor of the Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology; Aurelian Gulea - academician, doctor habilitate, university professor of the State University of Moldova; Victor Tapcov - doctor, lecturer, State University of Moldova.
Traditionally, AGEPI carries out various activities to raise awareness among researchers and inventors in the Republic of Moldova on the need to protect scientific and innovation achievements, intellectual property information sources and other aspects on enforcement of intellectual property rights (seminars, roundtables, contests) as well as actions to support and promote the achievements of inventors at international exhibitions of inventions.
