From 29 October to 1 November 2015 in Nuremberg, Germany, was held the 67th edition of the International Specialized Exhibition iENA entitled “IDEAS – INVENTIONS – NEW PRODUCTS”. The event was organized by the Nuremberg Exhibition Center, with Poland as the main partner to the organization.
iENA represents a real innovative platform that gives inventors the opportunity to exchanging experience and becoming familiar with the latest ideas and new technologies. The main focus of iENA exhibition is to success of inventions on the market, which is reflected in the fact that many of the inventions exhibited in the previous editions of iENA were launched into the international market, bringing inventors deserved reputation.
The current edition was attended by inventors and organizations from over 36 countries, and visitors had the opportunity to admire about 700 inventions.
Every year in the exhibition iENA awards gold, silver and bronze medals for outstanding works. In the current edition of the exhibition, an international jury selected the best inventions in the field of industry and science. The award ceremony of the winners took place on 31 October, in which medals were awarded for the following categories: Award for individual researchers, Award for youth invention and Award for University researchers.
Moldova was represented at the International Exhibition iENA-2015 by the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI). On the stand of the Republic of Moldova were exhibited 12 inventions of the Moldovan inventors from academic and university institutions. Two of the works exhibited at iENA 2015 were awarded gold and silver medals.
The exhibition was also attended with information stands by representatives of Patent Offices from Germany, Egypt and Poland who, appreciating the importance of protecting intellectual property and struggle against piracy and counterfeiting, gave consultations to visitors in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, ways of financing, marketing and implementation of inventions, etc. The event was also attended by representatives of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
German Patent and Trademark Office organized in the framework of the exhibition a thematic seminar entitled “With the idea to success - invent and become an entrepreneur” attended by both inventors and representatives of well-known German companies and investors.
