AGEPI supports Young People Who Create New Solutions for the Present and the Future

The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated as partner of the BEST Hackathon competition. The event took place during the period 28-29 October and was organized by BEST Chisinau.

At the opening of the event, AGEPI Director General Lilia Bolocan, addressed a greeting and encouraging message to the participants. Lilia Bolocan mentioned that this competition is a good platform for young people to try their skills in the IT field, and also to exchange ideas. AGEPI will always support young people who are creating new solutions for the present and the future, AGEPI Director General pointed out.

The challenge of the current edition included a task for testing a mobile application. Thus, 15 students of different ages, grouped in 3 teams, fought for 24 hours to get the title of the best project in the BEST Hackathon competition.

After the presentations of each team, the jury composed of specialists from an IT company and representatives of the Technical University of Moldova chose the winning team of the Best Hackathon competition. Thus, first ranked the team composed of the following members - Ciocan Laurentiu, Sarmaniuc Marius, Chiseliov Eugen and Galaju Elizabet.

The student winners have got diplomas and awards, including from partners. AGEPI gave gifts to the winners.

BEST Chisinau (Board of European Students of Technology) is a European student organization working at the Technical University of Moldova. Since 2007, BEST Chisinau continues to exploit the students’ engineering potential and to offer them education complementary to the university one.
