In order to prepare professionals in the field of intellectual property, AGEPI organizes a new cycle of training courses entitled “Protection of Intellectual Property” for obtaining the professional qualification “Counselor in Intellectual Property”.

The curriculum of the training courses include new disciplines relating to the protection of intellectual property objects, namely:

• Introduction to intellectual property;
• Trademarks;
• Industrial designs;
• Geographical indications, appellations of origin and traditional specialties guaranteed;
• Inventions (protection of inventions by patent, patent information and documents);
• Plant varieties;
• Industrial property law;
• Copyright and related rights;
• Economy and valuation of intellectual property.

The duration of courses is 168 hours and will be held three times a week, between 14.00-18.00, for 11 weeks.

Lectures are delivered by qualified specialists of GEPI.

Training is done on a contract basis, in Romanian. Upon completion of each discipline students take tests and colloquia, according to the curriculum and study programs, and upon completion of the course – the final exam.

The persons enrolled for the courses benefit from spaces appropriate to the studying process and from library with its own book fund, necessary for the taught subjects.

Groups are formed on the basis of the applications filed to the AGEPI according to the principle first come – first enrolled. The current edition of the course will begin on 22 September this year.

Applications for enrollment for the courses are received until September 5 this year.
