In the period July 25 to August 5, 2014, in Chisinau takes place the Summer University of students “Summer University 2014 - Check-in in Moldova”, organized by the European Students Association (AEGEE Chisinau).
Appreciating the importance of the event and to increase the knowledge of the young generation in the protection of intellectual property, the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participates as a partner in organizing and conducting the Summer University of students.
The Summer University is an international event that lasts 11 days and is organized for youth and by youth. This project provides opportunities for students from Europe to discover a multitude of cultures and traditions of the host country.
Summer University aims at promoting a favorable image of our country and increasing the interest in the Republic of Moldova among European citizens, especially young people and students and intensifying the communication, facilitating student mobility between Europe and the Republic of Moldova, and reducing language barriers.
The event is attended by 20 students and young specialists from European countries (Finland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Romania, UK, etc.) and 20 AEGEE members and volunteers from the Republic of Moldova.
Conducting of Summer University is possible due to the active support of several state institutions and economic agents from the Republic of Moldova. AGEPI is one of the partners of this international event.
The program of the Summer University of students includes various activities and thematic workshops, and lessons of Romanian and Russian, folk dance lessons, excursions, intercultural evenings with European, Latin and traditional Moldovan specific character. In addition, participants will visit various tourist destinations, such as Orheiul Vechi, Milestii Mici, Capriana Monastery, etc.
In the event organized on July 28 this year, inside the Centre “German House “Hoffnung” in Chisinau, the senior specialist of the Marketing, Services Department, AGEPI, Ms. Alina Fodea familiarized students from the country and abroad with the national system of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights and disseminated information and promotional materials in the field.
AEGEE (Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l'Europe) is a youth non-governmental, non-profit and with interdisciplinary profile organization, being one of the most important interdisciplinary organizations worldwide. Promoting the idea of European integration and of a unified Europe among young people and the increase of students’ culture and information, AEGEE operates through 200 cities, spread across 200 university cities in 40 European countries, having over 13,000 members. In Moldova, AEGEE existed since 1999. The “Summer University” Project is organized for 10 years.
